Public research (2026-10-15)
- Listing: 5.0 from 293 (289 × 5★, 4 × 4★, none lower); Built for Shopify; launched 25 Jan 2023; Subscriptions + Product bundles; Free only; English only; works with Checkout, Customer accounts, Shopify POS, Shopify Flow, Shopify Admin, Klaviyo, Omnisend.
- Listing features: bundles + subscriptions in one app; quantity breaks, BOGO, free shipping, tiered pricing; fixed/variant/multipack/mix-and-match bundles; subscribe-and-save, boxes, prepaid/replenishment; failed-charge retries; loyalty; self-serve portal.
- Developer site (claims, untested): portal pause/skip/reschedule/cancel/swap/address/discount codes/payment cards; exponential-backoff retries; dunning emails; tenure loyalty discounts; cancellation counter-offers; win-back emails; widget in 100+ languages; min quantities and caps; migration from Recharge/Bold; pricing page: one $0 plan, no usage/transaction fees, unlimited plans/contracts, advance notice of any future paid plans.
- Help center (supr-bundles-and-subscriptions.crisp.help, read 2026-10-15): renewals charge saved payment method and create normal Shopify orders; gateways Shopify Payments/Shop Pay, PayPal Express, Authorize.net, Adyen, Stripe (Shopify platform rule); each subscription keeps its own copy of terms, so offer/discount edits affect only new subscribers (exceptions: scheduled discount changes, change-frequency-after, suggest-an-upgrade); notifications under Settings > Notifications (started, upcoming renewal, payment failed); uninstall stops renewals and removes widget; docs recommend a test order. Option controls: discount percentage/amount off/fixed price (default on at 10%), discount changes after N orders, discount by market, active-subscription caps per option/product/customer (per-customer not counted for guest checkout), minimum commitment, fixed multiples. Portal: Customer accounts page (recommended, needs new customer accounts) or legacy portal at /apps/my-subscriptions; portal actions skip/pause/cancel, update quantities, swap/add products; navigation link via one-click button or Content > Menus; cancellation and pause flows under Grow. Retry behaviour for failed payments not described in the “how it works” article.
- Recent reviews (Oct 2026): fast support; team set up bundles/subscriptions; migration help; build-a-box + subscription in one app; prepaid shipping profile help.
- 4★: confusing at first, helped by team (Jan 2026); wants stock numbers/purchase caps for subscription products (Jan 2026, 1+ year user); wants automatic language switching incl. notification emails (Dec 2024, Germany); one short positive (Oct 2026).
Claim boundaries
- Not tested: orders, renewals, billing, retries, portal as subscriber, bundles, Grow, Settings, loyalty, integrations, migration, support.
- Portal: we added the Subscriptions page and saved; did not run Verify or see the confirmation text.
- Stock caps: Jan 2026 merchant request vs current docs; resolved in the review as “caps exist, guest checkouts not counted, test before launch”. Docs-sourced facts are attributed to the help docs, not presented as tested.
Open questions for reviewer
- Confirm testing level and whether the portal Verify step passed.
- Do subscription options support caps/minimum quantities in practice?
Thumbnail concept and prompt
Understanding pass: a store wants recurring revenue (subscriptions) and bigger orders (bundles) without paying a monthly fee or a toll on every renewal; the app is free, setup is quick, but one step (the customer portal) is left for the merchant to finish.
Concept: A small village shop on a sunlit lane. A delivery cart loaded with a few bundled parcels sets off along a path that curves around the village in a wide loop and returns to the shop’s door — the same order coming round again. Partway along the loop stands an old wooden toll gate, left wide open and unattended: the route costs nothing to travel. In the upper sky, a large soft looping ribbon of cloud in pastel pink fading into soft violet (softened from Supr’s pink-to-purple gradient app icon, seen in the Shopify admin), echoing the loop of the path below.
Prompt: Editorial fine-art oil painting in the style of a vintage art-book illustration, 16:9 wide composition, asymmetrical, with large quiet negative space in the upper half. A small village shop with an open door sits off-center in the lower left. From it, a modest delivery cart carrying a few parcels tied together in bundles travels along a pale dirt path that sweeps in one wide, gentle loop through soft fields and returns to the same shop door, suggesting the same delivery arriving again and again. Partway around the loop, an old wooden toll gate stands wide open and unattended, its bar raised. Small, softly silhouetted figures only — no detailed faces. Warm late-afternoon sunlight from the right, long soft shadows across the path. In the upper sky, a large soft cloud formation shaped like a single looping ribbon, about 20–25% of the canvas width, echoing the loop of the path below; painted in a pastel tint of pink blending into soft violet, mixed into the cream light of the sky, with feathered, partially dissolved edges, warm haze, varied opacity and low local contrast, so it feels naturally formed from the atmosphere rather than placed on top. Restrained, muted palette of warm cream, ivory, beige, muted ochre, dusty rose, sage, olive, terracotta and muted brown, with gentle warm/cool contrast; no neon, no saturated colors, no glossy gradients. The entire image must look visibly blurry and abstract, not just the background: soft focus everywhere, broad brush masses, visible brushwork, canvas texture, pigment variation, imperfect and partially lost edges. Foreground shop and cart softly defined with painterly edges; middle-ground path, gate and fields loose and suggested with brush masses; background hills and village dissolved into hazy color fields. No hyper-detail, no photorealism, no perfect faces, no 3D render, no glossy digital painting, no cinematic lighting, no sharp or crisp objects. Absolutely no text, letters, numbers, logos, signage, UI elements or readable typography anywhere. It must read clearly at small thumbnail size, with one clear focal point: the cart on the looping path beside the open gate.
