Human Testing & Evidence
Testing level
- Level 1 — Full Hands-On Test
- Level 2 — Partial Hands-On Test (install → workspace → store connect → embed → live chat go-live → storefront chat → human reply from inbox → Task Bot settings). The AI agent was not exercised.
What was tested (supplied captures, in order)
- Install dialog: “Richpanel — Richpanel Inc”; view customer data (sensitive, device and activity), view staff and contributor data (store owner), view and edit store data (customers, products, orders, Online Store). Store zenden; apps list shows email-popup and Gorgias.
- Welcome to Richpanel! “Which product would you like to set up?” — Helpdesk (“Manage customer conversations across all channels”) / Returns (“Turn refunds into revenue with automated exchanges”).
- Create your workspace: Company name Zenden-6975; phone (optional); number of support agents 0; orders per month (select); help-center domain zenden6975.customerdesk.io — available; Create workspace.
- Theme editor (Horizon, Active): Richpanel AI: Live Chat on — “This app embed doesn’t have customizable settings”; Richpanel Returns off; Willdesk, Crisp, Gorgias, Love Loyalty embeds off; Email Capture Popup on.
- Let’s set up your live chat widget: 1 Enable Richpanel AI · 2 Verify setup · 3 Go live — “Your live chat widget has been successfully installed and verified.” “Live chat is now active on your store”; Preview on your store / Customize widget; toggle “Show live chat widget to customers — Live on your store”. Behind: channels list (Email, Facebook/Instagram, Aircall, WhatsApp, Attentive, Hello Rep, Talkdesk, JustCall, Telebroad, Consio, RingCentral, Klaviyo, TikTok Shop; Phone Numbers, General Settings, Porting); “Shopify import started. You can leave this page. You will be notified once the sync is completed.”
- Storefront chat: header agent name + photo, “a few hours” reply time; shopper “Hey”, “Is there any one”; agent “Yes”; shopper “What is the most cheapest product here”; reply “1. Jamaica Away Player 2. Norway World Cup 2026 Home Kit Player half”; grid shows Jamaica $999.00 and Norway $999.00, others $1,299.00; “Powered by Richpanel”.
- Inbox: “Chat on Zenden-6975”; “Task Bot Default rule performed assignment on Oct 08, 03:27 PM”; shopper messages 03:27/03:28 PM; agent replies under the team member’s name (03:27 “Yes”; 03:29 the two products); Next Steps Close / Snooze / Snooze till customer replies; Chat / Private Note; “Type # to add a macro”; Send and Close. Views: Live Chat 1, My Inbox 6, Mentions, All 6, Unassigned, Outbox; Tasks; Channels Emails 3, Facebook 1, Instagram 1, WhatsApp, Aircall, JustCall. - Listing pricing capture: Pro / Pro Max / Self Service (matches live listing).
- Select an organisation for your Shopify store: zenden-6975.myshopify.com ↔ Richpanel; organisation Zenden-6975; brand Zenden-6975; Connect Store.
What was not tested
- The AI agent (manager AI, playbooks, QA agent, Sidekick) — no AI reply was produced or captured
- Email, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, SMS, phone channels
- Self-service portal, returns, refunds, cancellations, order creation
- Automation rules beyond the default Task Bot assignment; spam bots; reports; MCP
- Widget customisation; mobile; billing after trial
Testing limitations
- The cheapest-product reply was sent by a team member (visible under their name in the inbox). Correct against the grid ($999 × 2), but not AI.
- The “Enable Richpanel AI” step shows as completed in the wizard, yet no AI reply occurred; whether AI replies were configured or require Sidekick setup is unknown.
- The test store’s customer tags (“Joy assisted”, etc.) come from other apps installed earlier.
- The 14-day trial was not run to completion; the Self-Service add-on question is unresolved.

Merchant Feedback Patterns
Positives (May–Sep 2026): named support and account staff (Venya, Smriti, Febin, Sandhya, Deepan, Ireena, Nidhi); migration and second-store help; switched from Gorgias for price and features; order info in conversation; self-service easy to manage; new AI “a great addition”; “occasional issues with AI” resolved quickly.
Criticism (1–3-star feed):
- Frankster (Australia, 1 day), Sep 22 2025: “way more expensive than you initially think” — Self-Service add-on needed for live chat and pop-up; poor support.
- HyperSpring Toys (US, 12 months), Jan 25 2025: AI only drafts replies from manually written help topics; needs a human to send.
- Carbon Pickle (US, 15 days), Jan 4 2024: stuck in setup; charged $129 after trial; developer says refunded.
- Organics Ocean (US, ~2 months), Aug 26 2024: no SMS despite being told otherwise (SMS now listed on Pro Max).
Interpretation boundary: ~3% of ratings at three stars or below; negative reviews are mostly 2024–2025 and may predate the current AI. None reproduced.
Missing Evidence / Questions
- An AI agent conversation — the single largest gap (see below).
- Whether live chat requires Self Service after the trial.
- Whether “Enable Richpanel AI” in the wizard enabled AI replies.
- Munna’s own impressions.
- ClickUp task URL.
Editorial Evaluation
Strengths: guided setup; verified go-live; order-focused inbox with refund/cancel; automatic routing; Task Bots; narrower permissions; strong support reputation.
Limitations: no free plan; per-agent pricing; AI usage billed on top; longer setup; “a few hours” default; sourced add-on and AI complaints; AI not tested.
Best fit: Established brands with support teams; multi-store; Gorgias switchers.
Poor fit: Small stores, solo operators, chat-only needs.
Claims We Must Not Make
- Do not say Richpanel’s AI answered, or failed to answer, any question.
- Do not attribute the cheapest-product reply to AI.
- Do not claim refunds, cancellations, returns, self-service, channels, reports or MCP work.
- Do not state live chat needs Self Service; it is a sourced claim to verify.
- Do not present sourced complaints as reproduced.
Blinto Review Quality Score — Internal
| Quality area | Score | Max | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hands-on authenticity | 16 | 20 | Helpdesk path tested end to end with a real chat and inbox. Deduction: the AI agent, the listing’s core feature, was not exercised (Level 2). |
| Merchant usefulness | 19 | 20 | Worked monthly cost totals, add-on check, clear positioning against free plans and Gorgias. |
| Research depth | 15 | 15 | Correct listing handle resolved; raw listing and two review feeds; prior reviews cross-referenced. |
| Evidence/screenshots | 10 | 10 | Eight purposeful, redacted captures. |
| Balanced criticism | 10 | 10 | Specific strengths and limits; testing gap stated four times. |
| Original findings | 9 | 10 | Verification step, reply-time default, permission scope, cost totals. Capped: no AI finding. |
| Decision clarity | 10 | 10 | Best/poor fit, entry-price table, trial instruction. |
| Writing/editorial quality | 5 | 5 | House structure, 12-minute read, Flesch 70. |
| Total | 94 | 100 |
Status: 90–100 — Strong, publishable. Scored 2026-10-14. Clears the 81+ auto-approval threshold in AGENTS.md §10. Below the requested 96: the score is held at 94 because the AI agent was not tested. One AI conversation on the storefront (the cheapest-product question with Richpanel AI answering, captured on the storefront and in the inbox) would support a Level 1 rating and lift hands-on authenticity and original findings to an expected 97.
Editorial Verdict Lock
- Verdict locked: Pending Munna’s fact-check.
- Decision: Recommended for support teams at established brands that can afford per-agent pricing; test the AI during the trial.
Founder Intelligence — Internal
- Exceptional: go-live verification; order actions inside the chat; multi-brand workspace model.
- Friction: no free entry point; AI cost layered on per-agent pricing; “a few hours” default reply time on live chat; Self-Service packaging confusion in public reviews.
- Opportunities: a free or solo tier; clearer separation of chat vs self-service on the listing; a default live-chat reply time in minutes.
- Blinto fit: Pricing/packaging opportunity.

Thumbnail Concept and Generation Prompt
Concept: A grand, well-appointed reception desk in a sunlit hotel lobby, staffed by several attendants, with a brass bell and a tall ledger of orders — premium, capable service that comes at a premium. Reads as “a polished front desk, priced per attendant.”
Prompt:
Generate a single image and export it as a PNG file, 16:9 landscape, 1792×1024 pixels or larger.
This must look like a soft, hazy, atmospheric vintage oil painting — NOT a sharp digital illustration. Softness and abstraction are the most important requirement.
Style: a sun-bleached impressionist oil painting on rough canvas, in the manner of a faded plate from an old art book. Thick, loose, visible impasto brushstrokes everywhere, including the foreground. Strong canvas texture and pigment variation across the whole surface. Low contrast, high-key light: warm cream, ivory, pale ochre, dusty gold, muted olive, soft grey-blue. No pure blacks, no deep shadows, no saturated colour. Everything slightly out of focus, as if seen through warm afternoon haze; edges lost and found, silhouettes soft, forms suggested rather than drawn.
Scene: in the sunlit lobby of a grand old hotel, a long polished reception desk is staffed by three small attendant figures in neat uniforms. One attendant helps a waiting guest while another opens a thick ledger and a third reaches for a brass service bell; behind them, rows of pigeonhole shelves hold neatly sorted parcels. All figures are small with no facial detail; the lobby, columns and chandeliers dissolve into broad blurred masses of colour.
Sky: through a tall arched window high in the upper background, a large soft rounded shape of three linked circles formed from haze and cloud glows in pale pastel blue, around a fifth of the canvas width — feathered edges, varied opacity, painted with the same loose brushwork, discovered in the clouds rather than placed on top, never a logo or a clean outline.
Depth: foreground moderately soft, middle ground much softer, background almost abstract colour fields.
Strict rules: no text, no letters, no numbers, no logos, no signage, no writing in the ledger or on parcels, no UI elements, no screens, no phones, no watermark, no signature. No photorealism, no 3D render, no glossy digital painting, no fine detail, no sharp edges anywhere, no faces with detail. Wide composition with generous empty space left and right so the image crops safely.
Output format: PNG.
Source colour note: Richpanel’s icon is a white three-node loop on a deep blue tile; the emblem softens it to three linked circles in pastel blue. Distinct from Chatty (lavender) and Commslayer (teal).
