Blinto Review Quality Score

Score the finished review after hands-on testing and fact-checking, before locking the editorial verdict.

93/100Blinto Standard
Quality areaScoreEvaluator note
Hands-on authenticity17/20The reviewer spent more than one hour testing Omnise on a Shopify development store. Beyond inspecting screens, he changed background images, checked mobile preview, published a page successfully, verified that the page worked on the storefront, and observed no visible Omnise branding on that published page. Seven in-app screenshots support the broader session. Full-page AI generation still could not be exercised because the Free plan showed a 0/0 quota.
Merchant usefulness19/20The review answers the buying question immediately, explains what the free plan is actually useful for, includes a completed edit-to-publish workflow, highlights the branding contradiction, interprets the paid-plan boundary, and gives clear next-step guidance without making unsupported claims.
Research depth13/15Research now combines first-hand testing with the current Shopify App Store listing, official Omnise pricing and product pages, developer metadata, Built for Shopify status, launch date, rename history, current plan pricing, integration coverage, and merchant feedback across both positive and critical reviews. Research depth remains below full marks because no developer interview was completed and no independent technical benchmark of AI output or performance was possible.
Evidence / screenshots9/10Seven purposeful in-app screenshots are embedded beside findings they support, including the 0/0 quota message and the full in-app pricing screen. The completed storefront publishing and mobile-preview observations are reviewer testimony and do not yet have dedicated publication screenshots.
Balanced criticism10/10The review credits the editor, mobile preview, publishing workflow, templates and audit while clearly separating the blocked AI feature, pricing limits and the branding contradiction. Merchant feedback also includes both strong support/ease-of-use praise and lower-rated reports of errors, slowness and AI-editing limitations.
Original findings10/10The 0/0 generation quota on the Free plan, reached through the app's own Recommended path, remains the central original finding. A second hands-on finding is that the Free plan screen says the published slot includes Omnise branding, while the page the reviewer actually published showed no visible branding.
Decision clarity10/10The verdict answers the core question directly: the AI cannot be tested on Free, while editing, responsive preview and publishing can be tested successfully. It also explains what remains untested.
Writing / editorial quality5/5The article uses shorter sentences, clearer merchant-first framing and less repetition. The Review Hub readability score improved from 66/100 (Standard) to about 74/100 (Easy) while preserving qualifications.

Human Testing & Evidence

Merchant decision question: Can a merchant actually generate a page with Omnise’s AI before paying?

Answer found: No. The Free plan’s page-generation quota was zero.

What was directly tested:

  • onboarding and the app’s two-route fork;
  • the AI Blueprint prompt screen and its 0/0 quota message;
  • the template library with Free/Pro filters;
  • a template opened in the editor;
  • background-image changes made by the reviewer;
  • mobile/responsive preview, which looked fine in the test;
  • one page published successfully to the Shopify storefront;
  • the published storefront page working properly;
  • no visible Omnise branding observed on that published page;
  • a complete Store Health scan;
  • the in-app pricing screen.

Reviewer summary: “Publishing and editing worked well, but the AI claim felt misleading because the free plan did not let me test it.”

What was not tested: AI-generated output of any kind; AI Blueprint beyond the blocked prompt screen; paid AI output quality; A/B test setup or reporting; translation; import/export; support responsiveness; persistence after uninstall; dedicated storefront performance testing; the total Free-vs-Pro template ratio across the whole library; which controls “Limited Editor features” withholds.

Public Research Refresh — 2026-09-17

The current Shopify App Store listing and Omnise’s official site were accessible during the second research pass. This resolves several gaps from the original research file.

Shopify App Store verification

The current listing confirms:

  • developer: Omnise.com;
  • Built for Shopify status;
  • app launched November 22, 2021;
  • Omnise is formerly Beae;
  • rating around 4.9 stars with roughly 889 reviews at the time of refresh;
  • supported page types include landing, home, product, collection, blog, FAQ, contact, cart, popup, form, theme section and other custom page types;
  • listed integrations include Klaviyo, Loox, Yotpo, Judge.me, Recharge, Appstle, Omnisend, Growave and others;
  • Shopify’s listing explicitly includes AI generation, mobile responsive editing, audits, analytics, A/B testing and tracking among supported capabilities.

Current public pricing

The Shopify App Store listing currently shows:

Plan Public price Public plan details
Free $0 1 published slot with watermark, 10 draft pages, AI usage tier 01, low-priority live chat
Start $19.99/month 3 published slots, section-level A/B testing, AI usage tier 02, live chat
Pro $39.99/month 10 published slots, section-level A/B testing, AI usage tier 03, 24/7 live chat
Max $79.99/month 25 published slots, section-level A/B testing, AI usage tier max, high-priority live chat

The listing also shows annual billing at a 20% saving. This resolves the earlier uncertainty about Start and Max pricing.

The official Omnise pricing page also says no credit card is required to start, lists a seven-day refund period, and states that published pages remain unaffected when the app is uninstalled while Omnise-side page data moves to trash for 30 days before deletion.

Product-positioning verification

Omnise’s official site positions the product around four linked jobs:

  1. AI page creation from a prompt;
  2. visual editing, including editing existing Shopify pages;
  3. section-level A/B testing;
  4. Store Health / optimization workflows.

The official site also describes the AI Blueprint as a planning layer that structures the sales story before page generation. This matches the in-app Blueprint screen seen during testing, but the actual generated output remains untested by Blinto because the Free plan blocked full-page generation.

Merchant feedback review

The Shopify App Store review corpus is overwhelmingly positive, with many reviewers praising ease of use and fast support. Several reviews specifically mention support agents providing direct help or custom guidance.

Critical reviews add useful balance. One three-star review described the product as promising but still beta-like, citing dashboard slowness and weak handling of simple AI image-editing instructions. A one-star review reported an unexpected server error after several hours of work. These are merchant reports, not Blinto findings, so the public article should attribute them rather than present them as observed behavior.

Research implications

This second pass resolves four previous uncertainties:

  • Built for Shopify: confirmed.
  • Developer identity: confirmed as Omnise.com.
  • Beae rename: confirmed by the Shopify listing.
  • Start / Max prices: confirmed at $19.99 and $79.99 per month respectively.

It also creates a useful distinction between developer claims, merchant reports, and Blinto hands-on evidence. Omnise publicly promises AI-built pages and section-level optimization; merchants mostly praise usability/support but a small number report stability or AI-editing friction; Blinto directly verified editing, mobile preview and publishing, while full-page AI remained blocked on Free.

Verified Findings

All hands-on findings below were observed on the Free plan during the reviewer’s session.

1. Setup is fast

Opening the app produced a single welcome panel with one Get started control. The reviewer did not encounter a long setup wizard, account-creation flow, theme-embed step or data import before reaching the build-choice screen.

2. AI page generation is zero on Free in our test

Choosing Build with AI opened the Omnise Blueprint Workspace, headed “Describe the page you want to create.” The screen showed “Monthly page generation limit reached (0/0). Upgrade.” before any generation had been used.

The (0/0) indicates a quota of zero rather than an exhausted allowance. The onboarding fork still labels Build with AI as Recommended and Fastest start, so a Free-plan merchant is steered toward a route they cannot use in the tested account.

The current Shopify listing describes the Free plan as AI usage tier 01, while the in-app screen observed by Blinto showed AI Tier 0 and a 0/0 page-generation limit. That is a current source conflict worth preserving. It may reflect product changes, account-level eligibility, feature definitions, or timing. The review should not imply that public plan wording guarantees full-page AI access.

3. Template library — Free/Pro split

The captured homepage view showed Pages and Sections tabs, a page-type filter, search, and Free/Pro filters. Nine of ten visible homepage templates were marked Pro and one was Free. The whole library was not counted, so the article limits this claim to the captured view.

4. The Free editor supports real changes

A Free template opened into a full section tree. Controls visible in the session included layout settings, height controls, appearance options, background settings, viewport controls, undo/redo, and a language selector.

The reviewer made an actual change by replacing background images. This was not just interface inspection.

5. Mobile preview worked in the test

The reviewer checked the page in mobile preview. The layout looked fine, with no notable spacing, image or text problem reported during the test.

This is reviewer testimony from the hands-on session; no separate mobile-preview screenshot has been added to publication evidence yet.

6. Publishing worked successfully

The reviewer published one page to the Shopify development storefront, and it worked properly.

This materially strengthens the authenticity record because the test covers an edit-to-publish workflow rather than stopping inside the editor.

7. Branding conflict: public/in-app plan wording vs published page

The in-app plan screen said the single Free published slot comes with Omnise branding. The current Shopify listing similarly says the Free slot includes a watermark.

However, the reviewer did not see visible Omnise branding on the page he actually published and checked.

This should remain a qualified conflict, not a universal conclusion. Branding may depend on placement, template, account state or another condition not tested.

8. Store Health audit

The Store Health scan completed in about 90 seconds. The captured scores were Performance 52, SEO 85, AEO 45.

Six CRO/AOV opportunities were listed and all were marked Review pending, beside an offer to unlock expert fixes. The reviewer did not purchase the fixes, so their quality remains unknown.

The official Omnise site independently describes Store Health as covering performance, SEO, AEO and conversion blockers, which corroborates the scope seen in-app.

9. Pricing — hands-on + current public verification

The original in-app capture showed Pro at $39.99/month and displayed Start / Pro / Max tabs without the other two prices visible. The current Shopify listing now resolves those prices as:

  • Start: $19.99/month
  • Pro: $39.99/month
  • Max: $79.99/month

This means the earlier review warning that $39.99 was not the entry paid price was correct. The public article can now state the actual current entry price with a dated qualification.

The publishing success, mobile-preview result, background-image edit and lack of visible branding are currently supported by the reviewer’s direct testimony rather than dedicated public screenshots. A storefront screenshot would strengthen public evidence further.

Conflicts and Qualifications

1. Free AI tier wording. The current Shopify listing says Free includes AI usage tier 01. Blinto’s in-app test showed AI Tier 0 and a 0/0 full-page generation quota. Treat these as different evidence points and preserve the conflict rather than smoothing it away.

2. Free-plan branding. The current Shopify listing says the Free published slot includes a watermark, and the in-app plan screen says Omnise branding. The reviewer did not see visible branding on the page he published. This remains a direct source-vs-output conflict.

3. Merchant review claims. Statements about conversion increases, support speed, slowness or errors are merchant reports. They must not be rewritten as Blinto-verified performance claims.

Evidence/screenshots 9 10
Balanced criticism 10 10
Original findings 10 10
Decision clarity 10 10
Writing/editorial quality 5 5
Total 93 100

Derived status: Blinto Standard. The score rises from 88 to 93 because the research record now combines hands-on evidence with current first-party product sources and merchant feedback, resolving the major gaps that previously held Research Depth at 8/15.

Research Depth rises from 8/15 to 13/15 because we now have current external corroboration for developer identity, rename history, Built for Shopify status, launch date, pricing, feature scope, official product positioning, integrations, uninstall/refund details, and merchant sentiment. It does not reach 15/15 because there was no developer interview, no independent performance benchmark, and no paid AI-generation test.

Editorial Verdict Lock

  • Verdict locked: No formal human lock recorded yet
  • Merchant decision: Consider
  • Best for: Merchants who want a modern template-driven builder and may later pay for AI or testing features
  • Not for: Merchants installing specifically to evaluate full-page AI generation for free
  • Verdict notes: Editing, mobile preview and publishing worked properly. Full-page AI could not be tested on Free. Public plan wording and the tested account differ on AI tier details, and branding wording did not match the published page observed, so both should remain clearly qualified.
