94/100Blinto Standard
Quality areaScoreEvaluator note
Hands-on authenticity18/20Twenty-three captures document a complete build-from-scratch path on a paid plan: AiTrillion's pricing page, the Shopify subscription approval with the usage spending limit, the fifteen-module picker, the activation banner and setup checklist, both Display-on-store tabs, three earning rules configured individually (Make a purchase with all conditions visible, Buy $X get Y, On X Orders get Y), the reward builder and saved reward list, the Shopify theme app embed, the storefront launcher and Loyalty Wallet at 840 lifetime/840 available, the issued code, and three order confirmations including the discounted one at $824.58. Unlike the previous five reviews the programme was built rather than accepted from defaults. The 840 balance was not reconciled, no pending state was observed despite a 10-day approval period, and the trial was not run to renewal.
Merchant usefulness19/20Reframes the decision correctly for a suite: answers whether the loyalty module stands alone, prices it against the free tiers of five previously reviewed apps, exposes the three-name/one-price problem, flags usage billing on top of subscription, and names exactly which loyalty features are still locked at $19.
Research depth15/15Shopify App Store listing (three plans, no free tier, rating distribution, launch date, languages, integrations), the all-ratings and 1/2/3-star review filters, AiTrillion's own pricing page in both contact-based and order-based models (fourteen tiers, allowances, money-back guarantee), the loyalty-rewards product page (18+ earning activities, redemption types, POS), and the help-center loyalty collection plus the earn-points/approval-period documentation were reviewed on 2026-09-24. Three pricing-source conflicts and the missing-free-tier gap are surfaced rather than smoothed over.
Evidence / screenshots9/10Eight purposeful full-frame captures are embedded beside the subscription/usage finding, module picker, granular earn rule, activity list with padlocks, reward builder, storefront wallet, issued code, and checkout result, with personal data pixelated.
Balanced criticism10/10Credits the rule editor, rule stacking, the app's own economics explainer and module scoping; states the absent App Store free tier, the three-name pricing, the padlocks on a paid plan, usage charges, the missing claim confirmation, and the sourced renewal/inclusion complaints without presenting any of it as reproduced.
Original findings9/10First-hand and unavailable from any roundup: the most granular earn-rule editor of the six apps reviewed (approval period, paid-vs-fulfilled, three discount-exclusion modes, exclude shipping/taxes, exclude sale products, revert-on-cancellation); three earning rules stacking simultaneously; the in-product explainer of reward economics; reward-level Show in POS; the Shopify-charge plan name matching neither public price list; the free tier that exists on the vendor site but not the App Store listing; the usage spending limit absent from all five prior loyalty apps; padlocks persisting on a paid plan. Capped short of full marks because no paid-tier feature, POS path or renewal was exercised.
Decision clarity9/10Clear consolidation-versus-loyalty-only split, an explicit instruction to confirm limits rather than plan labels, and named triggers (referrals/VIP → higher tier; loyalty-only → free plans elsewhere).
Writing / editorial quality5/5Follows the Blinto merchant-decision structure with short sentences, consistent evidence labelling, and cross-review context that discloses the different test store and does not rank.

Merchant decision question: Does the loyalty module inside AiTrillion’s fifteen-module marketing suite work as a standalone loyalty programme, and what does it cost to find out?

Realistic scenario tested: On the Nestly Shopify development store (Tinker theme), subscribe to AiTrillion at $19/30 days with a 14-day trial, select only the Loyalty rewards module, build three earning rules and one $10/500-point reward with a $100 minimum purchase, enable the AiTrillion app embed, place test orders as a logged-in customer, open the storefront Loyalty Wallet, claim the reward, and complete an order with the code.

What was not tested

  • The other fourteen modules (email, SMS, WhatsApp, push, reviews, popups, workflow automation, memberships, affiliates, recommendations, customer account, announcement bar, CheckoutX, form builder, AI agent)
  • Referrals, VIP program, point expiry (all padlocked on the $19 plan)
  • Gift code, birthday, store visit and leave-a-review earning activities
  • Percentage discount, free shipping, free product, product discount and cart-redeem-widget reward types
  • Shopify POS (the reward’s Show in POS toggle was left on but not exercised)
  • The “Request FREE basic setup” offer
  • Email delivery of the reward code; behaviour when the $100 minimum purchase is not met
  • Mobile rendering of the launcher and wallet (“Hide on mobile” left off)
  • Removing the “Loyalty Wallet by AiTrillion” branding
  • Importing/migrating balances from another app
  • End of trial, renewal billing, usage charges, downgrade or uninstall behaviour
  • AiTrillion support

Testing limitations

  • Development store with cash-on-delivery test orders; no real customers or traffic.
  • Different store from the previous five loyalty reviews (Nestly/Tinker vs zenden/Horizon), and a different catalogue and order values, so cross-app comparisons are limited to app behaviour, not like-for-like conditions.
  • Other loyalty-adjacent apps are installed on the same store (Marsello widget, AI Bot, Gorgias, PageFly, GemPages, Easify), visible in the theme editor; no interference was observed but none was tested for.
  • The 840-point balance was not reconciled against the two orders and three stacked rules.
  • No pending state was observed despite a 10-day approval period on the purchase rule; not investigated.
  • The plan shown on the Shopify approval screen (“Starter Plan”, $19) does not match the $19 plan name on either public price list; the store’s actual entitlements were not confirmed in-app.
  • Exact test date not recorded; the trial end date (Oct 7) implies a start around Sept 23.
  • Reviewer’s subjective impressions were not supplied; the article describes observable behaviour and avoids unsupported opinion.

Raw observations / experience

  • Install begins with a Shopify subscription approval, not a wizard — the only app in the reviewed set that charges before any setup.
  • Usage-based charging: the approval screen sets an app spending limit of up to $100 per 30 days on top of the $19 subscription. None of the five previously reviewed loyalty apps billed for usage.
  • Module picker scopes the whole admin: selecting only Loyalty rewards produced a loyalty-shaped sidebar with everything else under “More modules”.
  • Activation of the storefront requires enabling the theme extension; the app surfaces this as a persistent banner with a direct link and a “Mark as done” action.
  • Earn-rule granularity is the highest in the reviewed set — approval period in days, paid vs fulfilled trigger, three discount-exclusion modes, exclude shipping/taxes, exclude sale products, revert redeemed points on cancellation.
  • Rules stack: points-per-dollar, a spend goal and an order-count goal ran simultaneously.
  • The reward builder writes its own plain-language explainer of the points-to-spend relationship.
  • Show in POS is set per reward, not per plan.
  • Storefront wallet separates lifetime and available points — the only app in the set to show both figures.
  • Claiming is single-tap: Get Reward → code, with no confirmation step (contrast: LoyaltyLion asks first).
  • Vendor branding “Loyalty Wallet by AiTrillion” is visible in the widget footer.
  • Padlocks remain visible on a paid plan for Refer a friend, VIP program, Point expiry and the Widgets tab.

Merchant Feedback Patterns

Common positives (recent reviews, Aug–Sep 2026): responsive support including calls and named agents; consolidation of loyalty, email, reviews and memberships into one dashboard; fast onboarding; breadth of features; custom work for larger merchants.

Common complaints (1–3-star sample, Nov 2023 – Aug 2025, checked 2026-09-24):

  • App presented as free but full features required payment; unsolicited WhatsApp contact from support after install (Aug 2025, no reply).
  • Renewal pricing rose sharply while modules moved from unlimited to limited, leaving an existing loyalty setup inaccessible without paying more (Nov 2024, developer reply offering to discuss).
  • Email features and popup builder judged basic; deliverability and sending allowance criticised at the price paid (Feb 2024, developer reply disputing the reviewer’s motives).
  • Leftover app code on the storefront after uninstalling (Nov 2023, developer reply directing to support).

Interpretation boundary: A small negative sample (about 5% of reviews at three stars or below), sourced, not reproduced. The hands-on test did not reach renewal, uninstall, email sending or support, so it neither confirms nor rules these out. Notably the complaint themes (what a price includes, module allowances) align with the pricing inconsistencies found first-hand.

Missing Evidence / Questions

  • Exact test date, and confirmation of which plan/entitlements the store actually holds given the “Starter Plan” label at $19.

Editorial Evaluation

Strengths

  1. The most granular earning-rule editor in the reviewed set (approval period, paid/fulfilled trigger, three discount-exclusion modes, shipping/tax and sale-product exclusions, revert-on-cancellation).
  2. Earning rules stack; the reward builder explains its own economics; POS visibility is set per reward.
  3. Module selection scopes the admin so the suite does not overwhelm a loyalty-only merchant.
  4. Wallet separates lifetime from available points.

Limitations

  1. No free plan on the App Store; evaluation requires a subscription or trial.
  2. The same $19 carries three different plan names across Shopify’s charge, the listing and the vendor site; a free tier exists only on the vendor site.
  3. Usage-based charges sit on top of the subscription (up to $100/30 days at approval).
  4. Referrals, VIP tiers, point expiry and the Widgets tab remained padlocked on the paid plan.
  5. No confirmation step before points are spent.

Best Fit

Merchants consolidating several marketing subscriptions who want loyalty plus email/reviews/memberships in one bill, and merchants who need precise control over when purchase points are awarded.

Poor Fit

Loyalty-only merchants (free plans elsewhere cover the same loop), merchants who need referrals or VIP tiers at the entry price, and merchants who require billing with no usage component.

Alternatives to Consider

LoyaltyLion, Yotpo Loyalty, Rivo, Appstle Loyalty, Joy Loyalty Program, Smile.io (all reviewed by Blinto); Marsello (installed on the same store, not reviewed).

Claims We Must Not Make

  • Do not claim any module other than loyalty works; none was tested.
  • Do not claim referrals, VIP tiers, point expiry, POS, email/SMS/WhatsApp/push, memberships or affiliates work.
  • Do not state which plan the store is actually entitled to; the label conflicts with both price lists.
  • Do not present the 840-point balance as reconciled, or claim the approval period failed.
  • Do not claim the app does or does not affect storefront performance; nothing was measured.
  • Do not present the sourced renewal-pricing, deliverability, leftover-code or WhatsApp-contact complaints as reproduced or universal.
  • Do not state a support response time.
  • Do not compare like-for-like with the zenden-store reviews without disclosing the different store.
  • Do not claim mobile rendering was checked.
  • Do not repeat vendor marketing figures (“18+ ways to earn”) as verified.
  • Do not describe the reviewer’s subjective experience until Munna supplies it.

Blinto Review Quality Score — Internal

Quality area Score Maximum Why this score
Hands-on authenticity 18 20 A built-from-scratch programme on a paid plan — rules, reward, embed, wallet, claim, checkout — captured end to end; deductions for the unreconciled balance, unobserved pending state and untested renewal.
Merchant usefulness 19 20 Correctly reframes a suite purchase, prices it against five free tiers, exposes the three-name pricing and usage billing, and names the locked features at $19.
Research depth 15 15 Listing, both review filters, the vendor pricing page in both models (fourteen tiers), the vendor loyalty page, and two help-center sources including the approval-period behaviour; three source conflicts surfaced.
Evidence/screenshots 9 10 Eight purposeful full-frame captures including the subscription approval and the rule editor; no checkout-page capture.
Balanced criticism 10 10 Credits the rule editor and scoping; states the paid-first model, naming conflicts, padlocks, usage charges and sourced complaints, each labelled by evidence class.
Original findings 9 10 Rule-editor granularity, stacking, in-product economics explainer, per-reward POS, lifetime-vs-available display, the plan-name mismatch, the App-Store-invisible free tier, and usage billing unique to this app in the set.
Decision clarity 9 10 Clean consolidation-vs-loyalty-only split with explicit instructions and named upgrade triggers.
Writing/editorial quality 5 5 House structure, short sentences, consistent evidence labelling, explicit different-store disclosure.

Editorial Verdict Lock

  • Verdict locked: Yes — article published by the project owner on 2026-09-24 with text identical to this repository version.
  • Merchant decision: Recommend for merchants consolidating several tools, with plan limits and usage charges confirmed in writing first; loyalty-only merchants should start on a free plan elsewhere.
  • Best for: Consolidators, and merchants needing precise control over purchase-point conditions.
  • Not for: Loyalty-only merchants on a budget; anyone needing referrals or VIP tiers at the entry price.
  • Verdict notes: Consistent with the supplied evidence and the eight published screenshots.

Founder Intelligence — Internal

What the app does exceptionally well

  • The earning-rule editor is the strongest in the category we have tested: approval period, paid-vs-fulfilled trigger, three discount-exclusion modes, shipping/tax and sale-product exclusions, and revert-on-cancellation, all on one rule.
  • Module selection at install is a genuinely good idea — it lets a fifteen-module suite present as a single-purpose app.
  • The reward builder explains the points-to-spend relationship in plain language at the moment the merchant sets the numbers.

Merchant friction discovered

  • Three different plan names for one $19 charge across Shopify’s approval screen, the App Store listing and the vendor’s own pricing page — with two parallel pricing models on the latter.
  • A free tier that exists on the vendor site but is invisible on the App Store listing, where most merchants start.
  • Padlocks on Refer a friend, VIP program and Point expiry at $19, while the listing presents loyalty rewards and referrals as included on every plan.
  • Usage-based charging on top of the subscription is unusual in this category and is not obvious until the Shopify approval screen.
  • Single-tap claiming with no confirmation, and vendor branding on the customer-facing wallet.

Growth opportunities

  • Publish one plan ladder and use the same names on the Shopify charge, the listing and the website.
  • Surface the free tier on the App Store listing, or explain why it is unavailable there.
  • Resolve the referral padlock against the listing copy; it is the single clearest expectation gap.

Product opportunities

  • Add a confirm step before points are spent.
  • Show pending points in the wallet when an approval period is configured, next to lifetime and available.
  • Offer branding removal at a stated tier rather than leaving it undiscoverable.

Questions for the founder

  • Which plan is a $19 Shopify subscriber actually on, and why does the charge read “Starter”?
  • Why is Refer a friend locked when the listing includes a referral program on all plans?
  • What typically drives usage charges toward the $100 ceiling for a loyalty-only merchant?

Blinto fit

Pricing/positioning opportunity

Evidence-based reason: The loyalty module’s mechanics and configurability are strong; every friction point found is in packaging, plan naming, price-surface consistency and feature gating rather than engineering.

SEO & Content Direction

  • Target merchant: Shopify merchants comparing an all-in-one marketing suite against point solutions, and merchants searching for AiTrillion pricing or whether it is free.
  • Merchant problem: Understanding whether the loyalty module is good enough on its own, what the entry price includes, and what is still locked.
  • Primary search intent: Commercial investigation.
  • Primary keyword/topic: AiTrillion review
  • Secondary topics/questions: AiTrillion pricing, is AiTrillion free, AiTrillion vs LoyaltyLion, AiTrillion loyalty program setup, AiTrillion referral program, all-in-one Shopify marketing app.
  • SERP/content gaps: Competitor roundups treat AiTrillion as a feature list; none show the subscription approval with its usage limit, the plan-name mismatch, the padlocks on a paid plan, or a built-from-scratch programme reaching a discounted order.
  • Blinto differentiated angle: Screenshot-backed build-and-redeem on a paid plan, the pricing-surface conflicts, and a like-for-like framing against five free-plan loyalty apps.
  • Internal links: reviews/loyaltylion.md, reviews/yotpo-loyalty.md, reviews/rivo-loyalty.md, reviews/appstle-loyalty.md, reviews/joy-loyalty-program.md, reviews/smile.md (same category; automatic related links via matching Loyalty and Rewards category).
  • CTA direction: Count what you would replace before subscribing; confirm limits not labels; ask which tier unlocks referrals and tiers; check the usage spending limit.
  • Required disclosures: Level 1 test of the loyalty module only; development store; different store from prior loyalty reviews; paid plan; other modules and paid-tier features untested; pricing and review data checked 2026-09-24.

Thumbnail Concept and Generation Prompt

Concept: A lone figure stands at an immensely long workbench lined with many open drawers and compartments, using just one of them — the loyalty drawer — while the rest of the bench recedes into warm haze. The image reads as “you are buying the whole bench to use one drawer.”

Prompt:

Generate a single image and export it as a PNG file, 16:9 landscape, 1792×1024 pixels or larger.

This must look like a soft, hazy, atmospheric vintage oil painting — NOT a sharp digital illustration. Softness and abstraction are the most important requirement.

Style: a sun-bleached impressionist oil painting on rough canvas, in the manner of a faded plate from an old art book. Thick, loose, visible impasto brushstrokes everywhere, including the foreground. Strong canvas texture and pigment variation across the whole surface. Low contrast, high-key light: warm cream, ivory, pale ochre, dusty gold, muted olive, soft amber and pale grey-blue. No pure blacks, no deep shadows, no saturated colour. Everything slightly out of focus, as if seen through warm afternoon haze; edges lost and found, silhouettes soft, forms suggested rather than drawn.

Scene: a small lone figure stands at one end of an immensely long wooden workbench in a sunlit room, lined with many small open drawers and compartments stretching far into the distance. The figure is reaching into a single drawer near the front, which glows faintly warmer than the rest. The bench and its many drawers recede into soft translucent haze, becoming indistinct colour masses toward the far end. The figure is the only soft focal point and is small in the frame.

Sky/light: high in the upper background, through a tall window, a single soft pastel amber ring shape glows faintly like a distant sun seen through haze — feathered edges, varied opacity, painted with the same loose brushwork, never a logo or a clean circle.

Depth: foreground moderately soft, middle ground much softer, background almost abstract colour fields.

Strict rules: no text, no letters, no numbers, no logos, no signage, no UI elements, no screens, no phones, no coins with symbols, no watermark. No photorealism, no 3D render, no glossy digital painting, no fine detail, no sharp edges anywhere, no faces with detail. Wide composition with generous empty space left and right so the image crops safely.

Output format: PNG.

Source colour note: The ring’s tint derives from the amber/yellow of AiTrillion’s app icon (a dark “Ai” mark on yellow), softened into a pastel against the painting’s cream light. Verify the exact brand hex from the live listing before generating; do not let the image tool reproduce a crisp logo.
